Spearheaded by producer and bass player David Solid Gould, Fresh Roots Records was founded in 2018.  The debut album on the label, “Festival of Lights” by The Temple Rockers, is due to be released worldwide on 10-19-18.  Digital pre-orders for Festival of Lights will be available on 9-7-18 through iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and almost anywhere you can purchase digital music.  The album is being distributed by Hippos in Tanks/ Machat Entertainment.  Vinyl records and CDs will be available through the Temple Rocker’s website.  The dub remix called “Festival of Dub” will be released on Fresh Roots Records on 11-30-18.  The mixes were performed by the master engineer Craig “Dubfader” Welsch.

The Temple Rockers are from Ithaca, NY.  They play spiritually-inspired Reggae connecting the Rasta and Jewish traditions through music.  The band features members of John Brown’s Body, 10 Ft Ganja Plant and Big Mean Sound Machine. 

“Festival of Lights” showcases three special guest vocalists, all of whom are legendary Jamaican Roots Reggae singers.  Linval Thompson, Wayne Jarrett and Ansel Meditations sing two songs each on this twelve track album.  Check out three 30-second preview tracks from Festival of Lights below….
